Haymaker Technologies, Inc., a Professional IT and Telecom Services firm is seeking a qualified candidate for our Desktop/Network Consultant position. Ideal candidate needs to be fully versed in break-fix, project-based, and cloud-based managed services. According to company’s culture, this position requires someone who is organized, efficient, proactive, and also has extensive experience in customer satisfaction and follow up.

The Successful Candidate Must:
  • Have a strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Be a team player and able to work in a challenging environment
  • Be on time (or early) for project start times
  • Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Have a clean criminal background
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Have the ability to balance independent problem solving with a common sense understanding of when to escalate high risk issues to a Manager or Project Leader
Basic Qualifications:
  • Creative thinking and ability to improvise is required
  • Natural desire to follow up on technical fixes to ensure customer satisfaction is required
  • 3+ years of desktop, server, and network hardware break/fix experience is required
  • 3+ years of administer experience with Remote Management and Monitoring (RMM) tool is required
  • 3+ years of experience with Windows Server OS (2008 & 2012) is required
  • 3+ years of experience with Windows Desktop OS (version 7 & 8 or 10) is required
  • 2+ years of experience with Linux or Unix is a bonus
  • 3+ years of installing, troubleshooting, and managing Smartphones (Apple iOS, Google Android, MS Windows Mobile, etc.) is desired
  • Ability to submit accurate timesheets, expense reports, and other company documentation is required
  • 3+ years of production experience with Cisco/HP routers and switches is preferred
  • 3+ years of production experience with security products (Cisco, Check Point, SonicWall, Watchguard, Tipping Point, SAINT, Snort, etc.) is preferred
  • Industry or manufacturer certifications are a bonus
  • BA or BS degree in Computer Science is a bonus
