Primary Location:
Elkridge, MD Headquarters with Mid-Atlantic focus. Haymaker Technologies, Inc., a Professional Services firm focused on Network Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Voice, and Wireless solutions, is searching for an experienced Senior Engineer.
The Successful Candidate Must:

- Have a clean criminal background
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Have the ability to balance independent problem solving with a common sense understanding of when to escalate high risk issues to VP of IT Services
Basic Qualifications:
- Creative thinking and ability to improvise is required
- Natural desire to follow up on technical fixes to ensure customer satisfaction is required
- Strong ability to think independently and to provide technical solutions to solve customer’s business challenges is required
- Expert understanding of the latest technology trends, such as Cloud Infrastructure/Computing, Mobility/BYOD, Security Risks, etc. is required
- 5+ years of experience with on premise and cloud-based backup solutions is required
- 5+ years of experience with VMware virtual server solutions is required
- 5+ years of experience with hosted and on premise MS Exchange is required
- 5+ years of experience with routing, switching, VPN tunneling, VLANS, Voice/Data networks with both Cisco & HP products is required
- 5+ years of experience with DNS, DHCP, Active Directory and domain services is required
- 5+ years of desktop, server, and network hardware troubleshooting experience is required
- 5+ years of experience with Windows Server OS (2008 and 2012) is required
- 5+ years of experience with Windows Desktop OS (7 & 8 or 10) is required
- 5+ years of experience with Remote Management & Monitoring (RMM) tools is required
- 3+ years of experience working with network troubleshooting tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, MRTG, etc.) is required
- Assessment techniques for examining, questioning, evaluating and documenting networks are preferred
- 2+ years of experience with Linux or UNIX is required
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft SCCM, vConsole, ScriptLogic, etc. is preferred
- Ability to submit accurate timesheets, expense reports, and other necessary company documentation is required
- Industry or manufacturer certifications are a bonus
- BA or BS degree in Computer Science or related field is a bonus
